I read Win Without Pitching (https://www.winwithoutpitching.com/read-it-online/) months ago.

It completely rocked my world and changed my perspective on freelancing, how to price, and how I value my skills.

Here are my notes, that I kept in Wunderlist while reading.

•Most people will change their desires, change their values before they change their behavior

•a creative firm either has a culture of continuous learning or it does not.

•”It is my policy that…”

•Paid in advance

"We’ll get started as soon as we receive the deposit, as is our policy for all new clients.”

1/3 to 1/2 or 1st phase for phased approach

• Rule of money

“Let us commit to memory the Win Without Pitching rule of money: Those who cannot talk about it, do not make it.”

• Stress is caused by the things we do not do.

• “A deal will always wait and a fool will always rush in” -Arnold Rothstein (okay this is not from the book, but I was watching Boardwalk Empire at the time and it seemed appropriate.)

• Profit improves service

• Do not price thinking by the hour

• You can't read the label if you're inside the jar
